Emma Lindstrom was born on April 14, 1978 In Sweden. She still Lives in Sweden but a different place than she was born. She marbles paintings by using microscopic brain waves or looking down on earth from a spaceship in space as a image to look off of. All of her paintings don't have a title, date, size, or medium. She isn't a very well know Artist, The focal point is the white at the top closer to the left corner. I know this because when I close my eyes then open them again, thats the first place I look. Different shades of blue and green, there is also white and brown. I think this painting is a view from space. She painted them to make them have depth or rocks in the ocean. The texture looks rough and rocky. This painting is most likely the view of a part of earth from space.
I have always loved the world, or travel, or different places. This is painting a place from above so I really like it. She wants everyone to feel connected because the universe it built on energy. I like how she used the different colours to catch different people's eyes. Her work portrays nothing short of life itself.

a)What problems did you encounter while you were working on this piece? How did you solve them?
I couldn't get the right skin tone for my person, it was too yellow at the beginning. I solved this by putting orange and pink in different spots to make it look like a real face. I also had another problem that because I was using so much watercolour, it soon started to tear the paper. I used a hairdryer to help me continue working but I just ended up leaving it. b)How have your skills improved over the course of this project? I think I have gotten really good at drawing from the exact image. My watercolour blending also improved. c)What areas could you improve on? I think I could improve on blending the face more. As I look at it I notice it is blotchy. d)What was especially satisfying to you about either the process, or the finished product? I was really happy with how it turned out, and looking almost like the picture. e)What is the one thing you would like others to notice when they look at your piece? All the hard work I put in to make it look this way and almost real. |
